Tunnel Hunters

“Even before I became a student at Henry Wise Wood, the rumours surrounding the tunnels beneath the school were well known to me and my classmates. Were the tunnels built during World War II to provide shelter, and then promptly forgotten afterwards? Was there an abandoned pool down there as well? Some swore that the tunnels connected all the way to other landmarks around town — like the Calgary Tower, and the Military Museums. From the very beginning, our film crew knew that we wanted to make a film getting to the bottom of the mystery of the tunnels, and scoured everything from old Reddit posts to floor plans and archival photos during our investigation, culminating in the team getting access to film the tunnels first-hand. I hope Tunnel Hunters brings you as much enjoyment as we had making it, and that it helps resolve some of the mysteries of the tunnels, while still raising its own questions in the process.”
